King & Bartlett - This section, N4 R5 West, never seemed to have a census taken probably because it was remote and I wasn't even aware it had a name until I recently checked out a new Maine Gazetteer.
N3 R5 West - Again, no census has ever been done because it doesn't seem anyone settled there permanently. Or,perhaps, the census taker didn't think it worth the effort to get up there.
Lower Enchanted - One census was done for this N2 R5 West area in 1840 and it was so out of the way it was spelled wrong as Inchanted.
West Forks - This town, established in 1859, is just north of the Dead River right where it meets the Kennebec. It was the section known initially known as N1 R5 West In the censuses it was early called Dead River Settlement and shouldn't be confused with the later Dead River Plantation. After that it had the designation The Forks, also not to be confused with the later The Forks which is on the opposite side of the Kennebec and on Range 4. Boy, did that make things confusing. In fact, I have a map which shows West Forks as being south of Dead River to the west of The Forks but that is actually Bowtown. Even the mapmakers were confused.

Moxie Gore - As the first area east of the Kennebec River it long carried the designation of N1 R5 but by 1900 it seems to have gained its name.
Squaretown - Who doesn't think this is funny? What shall we call it? Oh, I don't know. It's square. How about Triangle Town? Really? This area had its name by 1920 but I suspect it had some other more interesting name early on like N2 R5?
