Massachusetts
It helps to know when towns came into being. Many years ago, maybe 20 years, I came across this useful database of when and how the towns were created. I downloaded it into a spreadsheet for ease of use - Massachusetts Town Name Changes. I only wish I wrote down who made it because it's a great tool. You can download the spreadsheet with the link but I also embedded it into the Googlesheet below.
One of the great resources for Massachusetts is a series of books created in the 1800's documenting vital records to circa 1850. They generally have birth, marriage, and death records in order by family name. There are likely few places to get a copy of them outside of New England libraries. Some towns never produced a book for the series. Many of them can be read and even downloaded at the Internet Archive. This site has many old books and you can play around with it to see what's what. I have embedded links for vital records into the Googlesheet below. Most links will open up the book on the Internet Archive. Some others are linked to books in the FamilySerach collection and you'll need to sign in to view those. The idea and many of the links came from the following site: https://historicmassachusetts.org/vital-records-to-1850-for-massachusetts-towns/ and I have not personally checked all of them to see if they're valid.
I fixed and added where appropriate and made it more user friendly by making the spreasheet. You can bring up each section, Births, Marriages, Deaths. For those where you'll have to search the book I just made the link to the start of the book. There are some other vital records books included too. Some books will have to be searched as they have no index. Where I found an index I have included a link to it. I have also made links to the various town histories and/or genealogies that I found. When possible I noted the page where an index starts and where a genealogy section in a history book begins.

I created spreadsheets for some towns that did not have a book or for those that did but didn't have in any particular order. You can download the spreadsaheets below.
